Heute ist Heilig Abend. Es gibt lecker Essen und Geschenke.
Wir feiern heute aber (und vor allem) auch den Geburtstag von Jesus.
Wie krass ist das denn?!
Jesus kam auf die Erde und hat uns das größte und beste Geschenk ever gemacht! Wir dürfen durch seine Geburt Gnade erfahren und Gottes Liebe kennenlernen.
Angefangen hat das alles ziemlich unscheinbar, oder?
Da wurde ein Kind in ärmlichen Verhältnissen geboren. Das Kind hatte nicht einmal ein Bett. Es lag in einer Futterkrippe in einem Stall! Und dieses Kind sollte später mal etwas großes werden?
Dem König wollte das nicht in den Kopf, trotzdem bangte er um seinen Thron.
Andere wiederum nahmen voller Freude den Weg zum Stall auf sich. Sie wussten, dass dort ein besonderes Kind geboren wurde.
Da sind zum Beispiel die Hirten, die das Kind als erstes besuchten. Auch sie waren aus ärmlichen Verhältnissen und nicht hoch angesehen. Jesus kam zuerst zu den Menschen, die ihn wirklich brauchten.
"Die Hirten fürchteten sich sehr. Und der Engel sprach zu ihnen: Fürchtet euch nicht! Sieh, ich verkündige euch große Freunde, die allem Volk widerfahren wird; denn euch ist heute der Heiland geboren!"
Und dann waren ja auch noch die Sterndeuter aus dem Orient. Sie nahmen den weiten Weg auf sich und folgten einem Stern. Und fanden dort ein Kind in einer Futterkrippe. Und beteten es an, denn sie haben das Besondere in diesem Kind, in Jesus, erkannt.
Mach dich auch auf den Weg und folge dem Stern. Finde Jesus! Er ist auch zu dir gekommen!

Today is Christmas Eve. That means in Germany delicious food and some presents.
But we also celebrate the birth of Jesus.
Wow, how rad is this?!
Jesus came down to earth to make us the greatest gift of all. Through his birth we can experience grace and we can get to know the love of God.
But it all started a bit plain.
A child was born in poor circumstances. That child haven't even had a real bed. It lay in a manger in a stable. And this child should become famous?
The king couldn't believe that but he feared to loose his throne.
Others took the road to the stable happily.
For example the shepherds. They were the first ones that visited the child. They were also poor and not highly esteemed. Jesus came first to those who needed him the most.
"And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord."
And there were also some astrologers fromt the orient. They took the long journey by following a star. And they found a child in a manger. And they worshipped this child because they saw that this baby, the baby Jesus, is a special baby.
Hit the road and follow the star. Find Jesus! He came also to you!
