Jesus hat heute Geburtstag.
Hast du schon ein Geschenk für ihn?

Was kann ich Jesus schenken?

Mit den Hirten kam auch der 8-jährige Jonathan in den Stall von Bethlehem.
Er schaute das Jesuskind an und das Jesuskind schaute ihn an. Da traten Jonathan Tränen in die Augen.

"Warum weinst du?", fragte Jesus.
"Weil ich dir nichts mitgebracht habe", sagte Jonathan.
"Du kannst mir trotzdem etwas schenken!", entgegnete Jesus. "Drei Dinge möchteich von dir haben", sagte Jesus.
Jonathan schlug sofort vor: "Meinen Mantel, meine elektrische Eisenbahn und mein schönstes Buch mit den vielen Bildern."
"Nein," sagte Jesus, "das alles brauche ich nicht. Dazu bin ich nicht auf die Erde gekommen. Ich möchte von dir etwas ganz anderes haben."
"Was denn?", fragte Jonathan neugierig.

"Schenk mir deine letzte Klassenarbeit", sagte Jesus ganz leise, damit es sonst niemand hören konnte.
Da erschrak Jonathan. "Jesus," flüsterte er zurück und kam dabei ganz nah an die Krippe, "da hat doch der Lehrer drunter geschrieben: Ungenügend!"
"Eben darum will ich sie haben."
"Aber warum denn?", fragte Jonathan.
"Du sollst mir immer das bringen, wo in deinem Leben "ungenügend" drunter steht. Versprichst du mir das?"
"Ja, gerne", antwortete Jonathan.
"Und ich möchte noch ein zweites Geschenk von dir haben", sagte Jesus, "deinen Milchbecher."
"Aber den habe ich doch heute morgen kaputtgemacht!"
"Bring mir immer das, was du im Leben zerbrochen hast. Ich will es wieder heil machen. Gibst du mir auch das?"
"Ja, wenn du es haben willst, gerne.", sagte Jonathan.
"Jetzt mein dritter Wunsch", sagte Jesus, "bring mir die Antwort, die du deiner Mutter gegeben hast, als sie dich fragte, wie denn der Milchbecher zerbrochen ist."
Da legte Jonathan die Stirn auf den Rand der Krippe und weinte bitterlich.
"Ich, ich, ich...", brachte er mühsam hervor, "ich sagte, der Becher sei runtergefallen, in Wahrheit habe ich ihn aber im Zorn vom Tisch geschubst."
"Bring mir alle deine Lügen, deinen Trotz, dein Böses, das du getan hast", sagte Jesus, "und wenn du damit zu mir kommst, will ich dir vergeben und dir helfen. Ich will dich davon frei machen und mich deiner Schwäche annehmen. Willst du dir das von mir schenken lassen?"
Und Jonathan hörte und staunte. Er kniete nieder. Sein Herz war voll Freude.

Gibt es in deinem Leben auch Sachen, die mit "UNGENÜGEND" gekennzeichnet sind? Gib sie Jesus. Er will etwas Gutes daraus machen! Er kann das! Vertrau ihm! Er will dich überreich beschenken. Du musst es nur noch annehmen. Jesus will keine Gegenleistung dafür haben! Er will dein Freund sein!

Ich wünsche euch ein frohes und gesegnetes Weihnachtsfest mit vielen Geschenken, aber auch mit vielen tollen Momenten, an die ihr euch gerne erinnert.

What to give Jesus?

The 8 year old Jonathan came with the shepherds to the staple in Bethlehem.
He looked at the baby Jesus and the baby Jesus looked at him. Tears came into Jonathan's eyes.

"Why are you crying?", Jesus asked.
"Because I have nothing for you to give to you", said Jonathan.
"But you can still give me something", Jesus replied. "I'd like to have 3 things from you", he said.
Jonathan immediately suggested: "My coat, my electric train and my most beautiful book with the many pictures."
"No", Jesus said, "I don't need those things. For this I didn't came to earth. I want something completely different from you."
"And what?", Jonathan asked curiously.

"Give me your last test", Jesus said very quiet, so that noone else could hear.
Jonathan was shocked. "Jesus", he wispered and came very close to the manger, "but my teacher wrote underneath: Unsatisfactory!"
"That's why I want to have it."
"But why?", Jonathan asked.
"Thou shalt bring me always the things in your life with "unsatisfactory" underneath. Do you promise that?"
"Yes, gladly", Jonathan replied.
"And I want to have a second present from you," said Jesus, "your milk cup."
"But I broke it this morning."
"Bring me always what you broke in life. I want to heal it. Will you also give this to me?"
"Yes, if you want it", Jonathan said.
"Now my third wish", Jesus said. "Bring me the answer you gave your mom when she asked how the milk cup got broken."
Jonathan put he forehead on the brink of the manger and wept bitterly.
"I, I, I...", he hardly said, "I said the cup was fallen down, but in truth I have pushed it in anger from the table."
"Bring me all your lies, all your defiance and the bad things you've done", Jesus said. "And when you come to me I will forgive you and help you. I want to make you free and to attend your weekness. Do you want to have that from me?"
Jonathan listened and was astonished. He knelt down. His heart was full of joy.

Are there things in your life that are also marked with "UNSATISFACTORY"? Give it to Jesus. He wants to make something good out of it. He can do that! Trust him! He wants to present you overabundantly. You just have to accept it. Jesus wants to have nothing in return! He just wants to be your friend.
